There’s something so beautiful about every video that Yellow Claw releases. The colors and the scenery, it’s all rather magical and expressive. “Invitation” is just as magical as them all but it’s softer in a way. Yade Lauren and Yellow Claw created a Marilyn Monroe era inspired video. Yade embodied Marilyn’s classic look and the song was beautifully executed.
Some say it’s not trap enough, it’s just not what people are used to from Yellow Claw. Although it is different, one must admit that the quality and work are there. The DJ duo are evolving in sound. They can reincorporate hip hop and trap sounds at any time. This particular song works just as is, specially since this type of sound is taking over at the moment. If there was an artist who would be a good addition to this song it would be Drake. The song itself is great, Yade is enchanting and the release has “One Dance” vibes.
Can’t wait to see Yellow Claw’s next music video, it is sure to be captured just as beautifully as this one.
