Tinashe’s “Superlove”

Tinashe released “Superlove” recently and it’s definitely not what people would expect of her. The singer is known for Hip Hop/R&B driven tracks but “Superlove” sounds more pop than her previously released tracks. It’s a fun upbeat song about love, definitely more mainstream.

Tinashe has had a wave of rappers and R&B singers be featured on her projects but this just opens up a wider range of artists for her to collaborate with. She had a massive hit with “2 On” ft. SchoolBoy Q and then went on to collaborate with artists such as Juicy J, Chris Brown, Future, A$AP Rocky and more. She also collaborated with Nick Jonas on a “Jealous” remix.

“Superlove” might be a change in sound or just another single for the singer. Whatever the reason is, it was released just in time to be a summer hit. Summer is not over yet and this is definitely one of those tracks that make one feel alive when in love and remember those moments vividly. A little bit reminiscent of both Ciara’s “Click Flash” and Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” – light and fun!
