Deep lyrics with an upbeat contrast? Timeflies releases “Something Wrong“, perfect track to end the Summer with! Many songs are about young love and living in the moment towards the beginning of Summer ….but what happens after?

The track is not necessarily about a summer love gone wrong but it is about heartbreak and trying to please someone over and over again, hence “Did I do something wrong?”

With heavy beats of EDM and echoes placed detailed in the background this track is note worthy. The last rap breakdown towards the end perfectly transitions to a short falsetto that leads to the outro. Timeflies’ vocalist Cal Shapiro commands listening with his vocal portrayal of vulnerability and strength to make it a full listening experience. Rob Resnick (Rez) takes control of all the details the production requires. Both Cal and Rez bring in a different creative aspect to their music which is why it works so well.

Lyrics worth a second look:

“I’ve got my own school of thought and I’m the only alum”

“It’s pointless to look in the mirror and not see yourself”

“Scratching vinyl, so let me set the record straight.”
