Everyone has a dream of freedom, of landing on a happy island. LOCMAN is keenly aware of this, having chosen the symbolic and marvellous island of Elba as the headquarters in which to design unique and extraordinary watches.
They now pay tribute to this dream of freedom with a new and resolutely contemporary watch named ISLAND, in which a high degree of innovation is combined with a gentle, ultra-functional design combining elegant and classical lines with an aggressive, dynamic aesthetic. ISLAND is a versatile, high-performance watch suited to both sporty and urban use – a perfect of example of how Italian creativity is able to offer unique projects destined to endure.
In making the ISLAND model, the technicians of the S.I.O (the Scuola Italiana di Orologeria or Italian Watchmaking School, founded by LOCMAN in 2006) examined new solutions that have endowed the watch with excellent technical 
characteristics, especially in relation to the price range. The dial is topped by a flat with a sapphire coating that gives it a hardness comparable to that of natural sapphire while enhancing the degree of transparency. The sturdy and reliable case, complying with the high standards consistently established by LOCMAN, features a time only mechanical automatic movement or a chronograph hi-tech mechanism. Water-resistance guaranteed to 50 metres, Island comes with a stainless steel bracelet or with a range of leather or fabric straps in various shades matching the dial colours.
The satin-brushed titanium case-back, secured to the case by four screws safety screws, bears the sign that renders the ISLAND watch even more special – an etching depicting Elba Island.
