In my early 20’s I left my home in Russia and moved abroad to receive my Masters. Eventually, my journey in life brought me across Asia, Europe, and the United States, but surprisingly I was never able to explore or enjoy what was near my hometown in Russia. This past August, Emerging Talents Milan developed an idea to create a Pop-Up Store & Fashion Presentation in various countries to grow Internationally, the first stop of which was Armenia. I am familiar  with the culture of countries that are apart of the USSR which is very important.

With my fair share of reading articles on Yerevan such as “Things To-Do”, “Best Places to Eat”, and “Best Nightlife Spots” I couldn’t help being excited about this opportunity. As a frequent traveler, I’m in a new city almost every day blurring cultures and people in my head. What touched me personally with Yerevan was the story told by the people.

It was unique and not like any other city around the world. The people and culture were genuine and heartfelt. Instantly there’s an attraction. An attraction that’s sincere and in that moment you forget about the chaos of technology around us. Remembering back to the time where cell phones did not exist and people has real human interaction; speaking to each other, acknowledging each other’s existence and even giving friendly hugs. This was why being here, in Yerevan, is what brought back these emotions I had when I was an adventurous teen.

I had the opportunity to stay at the “Best Western Plus Congress Hotel” where I arrived at 6am. There was nothing more I wanted than to lie down in a bed after a long red eye flight. Upon my arrival, the hotel immediately checked me into a room within 5 minutes with no issues. As a business traveler, I always make it a point to meet with management of the hotel and learn more about where I am staying and learn about the amenities being offered to guests. I’ve had my fair share of staying in hotels and when a property exceeds guest’s expectations, it opens up the opportunity for a loyal customer and build a relationship with them. Congress Best Western did just that. They went above and beyond my expectations. I received one of the best experiences I have had in a hotel. In any case it’s the small things that matter most and seeing how it can make a difference.

“Home is not a place… it’s a feeling and Congress Best Western Hotel could create that warm and comfortable feeling.”

Yerevan is a city that is easy to get around. They have a very different lifestyle from what I am used to in Italy. People tend to go outside quite late because during the day the temperature can go up to 43C. So when it is cool enough, you’ll see kids running around and playing at the streets around 2 am. They have a large selection of delicious cuisine which will make you want to try everything. The city is full of amazing restaurants, but there was only one that made me always  wanting to come back for more,Accent Restaurant by Gayane Breiova.

Just like most places you will go; August is a busy time to travel. As a group there are even more challenges to overcome when organizing a trip, especially a trip to Yerevan. In addition to organizing, our team we had to bring our guests and partners from different parts of Europe. It’s no secret that travel agencies have become a sort of luxury concierge, helping to plan, advice and booking a trip. So it is where we trusted Levon Travel to handle every single detail of our trip. They were very easy to work with and made the planning process seamless. Whether it is for a family vacation or a business trip there is something about having customized service tailored for your every travel need taken care of that puts everything else at ease.
