We reached Carmen and asked her how she has been handling the lockdown and what direction fashion will take in her opinion.

Carmen Klooren: I believe after lockdown fashion industry will return to what it was before. Of course it will take time, but history has shown us with viruses such as this usually within a year antidote is discovered. I believe business owners have had a valuable lesson on how to survive and what to focus on in the future.

I have definitely learn the value of marketing and social media and how important it is to keep Your brand on the picture and Your audience entertained. With time everything will pass and all this will be behind us and when it does we must be prepared. So for me this is the time for strategising, plan making and bettering my craft. It is unfortunate that Milan, London, NY and Paris-the cities where Fashion Week is held- are infected by the most at this time. But I am sure people will not live in fear. We have China as our example where daily life has returned to normal.

Even if in the beginning after lockdown, on Fashion shows there would not be as many people, then the value of social media would still be present and occurring. So to conclude, I am a firm believer all will be well and regards to fashion, it might be that smaller brands need to work harder to survive but with patience and great marketing all is possible.
