Upcoming actress and well known Russian model Talia Shvedova is going to be a part of a big upcoming event in New York #AWEAR (April 26 6-8PM at Gallery 151). The world’s first meditation fashion show.
The emerging brand INGA-LENA is curating an experience for all senses in collaboration with the spiritual teacher Biet Simkin. Celebrating Earth day, the artists are encouraging awareness of sustainability and the relationship with clothing and our bodies.
For the event, the designer made sure to select models who represent her understanding of modern femininity. TALIA was featured among the community of women who inspire her mission to create an authentic, sustainable lifestyle brand. We had a chance to meet Talia for a quick coffee in Soho, Manhattan and ask her some questions.
Spy News Magazine: Who is TALIA ?
Talia: Talia is a free spirit. I was born in Siberian city called Omsk. It took me several years of traveling around the world and living in different countries, before I settled down in Big Apple. I believe in honesty and love. It’s always good to explore and learn something new, but not necessarily in alma mater. I believe that the best way to live your life is to see everything through the prism of your heart and approach anything with love.
Spy News Magazine: What are your latest projects?
Talia: I had an amazing experience at the end of last year to be a part of Martin Scorsese movie “The Irishman” starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. It was such an honor to be on the set with A-list legendary actors and see them in action, to learn from them. Can’t wait for movie to be out in 2019!
Spy News Magazine: How would you describe your dress code? What’s the favorite piece in your wardrobe that you have been wearing for many years?
Talia: I would describe my style as “fashion is my profession and passion; and I love being weird”. I love to mix and match different designers, some standing out accessories and bright colors… Love Love colorful sunglasses from different decades! And this season I fell in love with feminine cut dresses and skirts! But sometimes I love to be totally gothic rock-n-roll chick. I guess I love to experiment and play with my style.
Spy News Magazine: What qualities do you seek for in other people?
Talia: Honesty will be the main quality for both genders. In man I seek respect, love, confidence, sense of protection and support, humor. In women – respect, friendship, love, sense of support, humor. Ha! I guess it’s the same.
Spy News Magazine: What advices can you give to other women?
Talia: Respect and love yourself. Before you do that nobody else will respect or love you the way you deserve. Think of yourself as a little baby girl you have to protect, you won’t allow any bad behavior hurt her feeling right?! Then why we forget about not allowing that when we grow up?
Spy News Magazine: What does it mean to be a woman today?
Talia: Woman is the one who brings balance to life, spread kindness and love. Once woman enjoys and appreciates her own beauty, soul and body doesn’t matter what she will wear, people will get attracted to her in a good way because of the energy and inner light coming from her.
