One of the highlights of our Indonesian trip, was visiting Sebastian Gunawan showroom in Jakarta, spending almost six hours together with the designer and his beautiful wife Cristina.
Power couple Sebastian Gunawan and Cristina Panarese launched their brand almost 30 years ago at Jakarta, after finishing their studies in the US and Italy. They first launched “Sebastian Gunawan Signature” made-to-order couture line, portraying the image of elegance and sophistication.
Sebastian is known to be a rare expert in creating delicate, intricate design with details such as embroidery, crystals, beads and also gems. The designs can be so detail oriented because everything is still done in-house from the cutting and sewing, embroidery, beading, detailing, selling and other aspect are all still based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The brand has reached international audience through its appearances on various global fashion awards, editorials and red carpets.
