Gold, carmine red and royal purple – the colors of the reign juxtaposed with the fleeting decadence of the 18th century Palazzo Visconti.

Margarita Demina, the creative director, imagined a playful poise that urged to be set free amidst the statues and the curves of the Neorococo ceilings. The models playing hide and seek with the camera, would lean in to grant an illusion of sovereign presence and then reluctantly pull away with timidity, hiding from the flashlights. It was a play, in opposition – a glimpse into the creative vision of the director.

The Royal Purple editorial was shot during the Emergent Talents Event that took place in the heart of Milan, in Palazzo Visconti on the 26-28th of September, where Margarita presented her different magazine concept approach. We cannot wait to get our hands on MAD Magazine. Stay tuned!
