Franco Ferrari is a leading company in the high-end fabric accessories sector. Founded in 1978, it has made a name for itself over the years due to its innovative, high-quality products, which are distributed all over the world. In 2002, Franco Ferrari became part of the Achille Pinto S.p.A. Group based in Como, but maintained its independence in production and its corporate name. Franco Ferrari also boasts an atelier where high-level garment making and hemming is carried out by hand, helping to maintain the highest possible manufacturing standards.
At Pitti Uomo 92Franco Ferrari will present his summer collection which is all about mixing patterns and materials that enhance a research and experimental.
Animal patches and tags used on fighter planes during World War II are blended with classical animal patterns, taking the classic prints to a whole new level. Romantic Botanical prints and Herbaria have butterflies, herbs and flowers painted on precious soft materials. Colours pour and flow on camouflage prints. New effects are expressed through assembled vintage foulards.
A full range of Batik patterns taken from ancient books enhance the company’s archives taken from the historical archive, a real mine for prints, techniques and inspirations. The Summer range of materials go from pure cotton to a blend of materials cotton- cashmere, linen-cotton and pure silk. Finishing techniques call for a soft effect.
The palette turns fluo from orange to green, blue and fuchsia.
For this collection Franco Ferrari will take part to the “Boom, Pitti Blooms” project where floral designs will be the theme of a muslin cotton bandana 100% made in Italy, printed with digital ink-jet technology. The accessory is part of a custom capsule collection exclusively for Pitti Immagine and will be sold during the presentation of new collections in Florence.
