Tel Aviv – Israel’s second largest city – is a modern and vibrant metropolis full of beautiful places to explore and to find some balance in life. The glittering strip of coastline is home to restaurants and chic cafes that pride themselves in their innovative culinary creations, and the lively nightlife is frequented by tourists and locals alike.
Here, the residents are worldly and multi-lingual, insightful and intriguing, giving your holiday experience even more depth than any other vacation getaway ever could. The locals live life to the fullest, and they prefer to spend as much of their time as possible outdoors under the golden Israeli sun.
This must be why so many people love to spend their summer nights in the Secret Garden, an open bar found right behind the old train station of Neve tzedek. This hot spot captures the lively spirit of Tel Aviv and its locals, with its fresh vibe, outdoor location, and the best DJ’s in town. This place is perfect for a relaxed dinner amongst friends, but also for a wild night of dancing and mingling with the bar’s young and hip crowd.
Speaking of fine dining, we had the pleasure of discovering yet another of Tel Aviv’s gems: the gorgeous Vicky Cristina. Amazing tile-work and warm wood furnishings all come together beautifully in this large outdoor garden area, where, protected under the gentle trees and palm fronds we nibbled on an delectable and spectacularly presented array of assorted tapas.
Last but not least, after a night of laughter, dancing, and festivities, our top go-to place for a scrumptious breakfast is definitely Benidict, in the heart of the city. Here, fresh twists on classic meals are just the right way to start the new day in this intriguing and cosmopolitan town. New flavors inspired by old traditional favorites wake up not only the palate but also the mind, no matter what time of day it is!
Tel Aviv’s amazing assortment of outdoor locales takes advantage of the city’s beautiful coastline, sandy beaches, and golden sunsets. And with it’s vibrant residents, hospitable atmosphere and lively nightlife, there is no doubt why it’s on the top of my list of holiday destinations.
