Matteo Lamandini‘s  inspiration for the collection is 100% American, from underground New York to the beaches of Coney Island, where the game’s are the only rules. The concept is to contaminate formal menswear with sportswear and streetwear from playgrounds to skate parks. American sports gear gets mixed with purely formal fabrics such as pinstripes and checks; vice versa formal clothes are re-interpreted with sporty fabrics in an endless tag game.

 

 

The fabric used to make the most of this concept is pinstriped Superfine wool, checked cotton combined with triacetate in shades of blue, transparent nylon and washed denim to deconstruct formal menswear. Stripes are a crucial part of the décor: from very fine pinstripe to baseball stripes in pastel colors or even beachwear stripes.

 

 

Also crucial is see through nylon that renders a printed effect on the outer garments. Contrasting volumes, from slim to over for the main items as jackets, sweatshirts and pants. A playful palette in playground red, chalk white, Royale blue and black goes along pastel yellow, peach and azure.
