It’s been a week since Fashion Vibes: Philosophy of Design – carefully nurtured project of blogger Julia Matryoshka, executed with the support of TB Studio Showroom – first saw light as an official event within Milan Fashion Week, but Italy’s biggest fashion scene is still head over heels into this stylish affair that collected a total number of ten fashion designers from seven countries – all under the roof of Circolo Filologico in via Clerici.

Fashion Vibes: Philosophy of Design “gives a remarkable opportunity for designers from all over the world to show their talent, open and conquer new horizons, forms and ideas”, notes Julia, the mastermind behind. The project prides itself on bringing together self-determined, motivated and strong individuals and entrepreneurs from international background and helping them build a professional network for their brands’ development and growth to the industry as a whole.
Ten designers from seven countries took part in a series of fashion shows separated into three themed blocks – all within one event – and concluded with the final accord of traditional Milanese aperitif tastefully seasoned with a dash of Russian kitsch – red caviar.
Hosted by the charming fashionista Julia, the event felt as glamorous as it was cozy. Russian influence was indeed prominent that evening – with a whole block devoted to aspiring Slavic brands, among them Sharan, Milke, Lollypie, Farrdi and Rasena, together with self-explanatory Russian Beauty receiving particular attention from the guests, with its emphasis on the fine tradition of knitted dresses.

Latvian Aristocrat Kids, widely known for its fairytale aesthetic and exquisite craftsmanship in approaching kidswear, graced the runway in the second block together with New York-based Frekan, proudly interpreting the designer’s African heritage and Italian high-end bag brand Fvcina, spotting exotic crocodile, alligator and python leathers.

The official part of event concluded with Armenia’s eLSi – a song of elegant silhouettes and dynamic patterns rich in femininity, strength and romance. Fashion Vibes is expected to become a regular Milan Fashion Week event and is open to collaborators, designers and other fashion professionals alike.
