Estúdio Nuda is an independent clothing brand based in São Paulo. Launched in February 2020 by the designer Bruno Sales, the brand focuses on creating timeless and conscious fashion, developing pieces based upon modernist design ideals. Focusing on the commercially male wardrobe and moving smoothly through the genderless, Estúdio Nuda has, as part of the essence of its creation, environmental concern and being in the sustainability cycle, which determined the production format on demand and centered in the atelier, guaranteeing the fabric choices made from certified materials, such as BCI cotton and EcoVero viscose.
The DER BOXER collection, presented at the brand’s debut at Brasil Eco Fashion Week, has its starting point the dance show “Boxe Boxe”, by French choreographer Mourad Merzouki. With an original soundtrack from the spectacle and a hint of inspiration from photos of German boxers taken in the early 20th century by photographer August Sander, the purpose of the collection is to represent the lifestyle of fighters who travel the world earning a living from fighting.
The exhibition interprets the massive, aggressive and hectic universe of boxing with drama and delicacy, through pieces that portray training clothes and protective equipment in their essence, mixed with appropriate reinterpretations of everyday situations. As a form of protest and counterpoint, the collection is entirely built in white, trying to calm the mood of this savagery portrayed with personality on the special surfaces of satin fabrics and light textures.
The debut on the catwalks is a relevant step for Bruno and his brand: “I feel honored to be able to exhibit my work at an event that, in addition to supporting national fashion and the emergence of new brands, highlights values that walk in the same direction as the Estúdio Nuda”, concludes the designer.
