Emmy-nominated professional dancer, entrepreneur, model, fashion blogger and skin cancer spokesperson, Witney Carson is doing for dancing what Kayla Itsines has done for fitness in her new one-of-a-kind dance instructional app, WITNEY XO, when it launches in the app store (iTunes/Android) on April 30th. With step-by-step guides for even the most novice dancer to learn ballroom to hip hop and everything in between, this new dance fitness app will be available to new users with a free 30-day trial when it launches on the same day as she returns to the highly anticipated new season of the Emmy-winning series, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Just announced this morning on Good Morning America, Witney will be partnered with standout Olympian and silver-medalist, Chris Mazdzer, the first American athlete to medal in a Men’s Single Luge event. With the premiere and launch of her app just weeks away, Witney will be lighting up the ballroom and the app store once again.

On the hunt for the latest fitness craze, more and more people are looking for fun and interesting ways to get and stay fit. From hip hop ballet classes, to burlesque and salsa classes, dance has been a continuous fixture for those looking to get fit and learn a new skill while doing it. With WITNEY XO, users can now take this method of dance fitness to learn step-by-step tutorials to iconic dances from their favorite movies or shows, or routines taken straight from the ballroom – all in the comfort of their own homes.

You may remember the twinkling braces of a Salt Lake City teen, smiling from ear to ear after nailing her audition on “So You Think You Can Dance.”  From there, Witney rose to all star status, grand jetering over to a consistently top contender for “Dancing with the Stars,” winning season 19 with dynamo dancer Alfonso Ribiero and pirouetting her way to 3rd place with “Malcom in the Middle” star, Frankie Muniz and 4th place with Super Bowl MVP, Von Miller. Witney married high school sweetheart, Carson McAllister, on New Year’s Day 2016 in hometown Salt Lake City, and together, the two have launched WITNEYCARSON.COM, an all-inclusive website showcasing her strategy of fitness, food and fun into daily life that allows her to excel as a professional dancer.
Witney is as driven philanthropically as she is professionally. She is an active member of The Skin Cancer Foundation, an organization that supported her through the difficult treatment for melanoma.  She is open about her own history with the disease and uses her platform to share her experience with various children’s organizations and skin cancer charities to raise awareness and educate the population, youth especially, on proper skin and health care.
