Hong Kong Based brand CLOT presented its FW21 “DYNASTY” collection at a special presentation at Shanghai’s TX Huaihai Youth Energy Center. CLOT co-creative director Edison Chen brings the dated word to the present and gives it a modern interpretation fit for our clientele.
With updated silhouettes inspired by streetwear and modern fashion, designers bring the opulence of Chinese silks and embroideries worn by the past Chinese
Dynasty royalty to today. The season’s obvious nod to Chinese culture manifests itself in traditional Chinese-inspired details, including frog button
detailing and dragon, phoenix, tiger and clouds graphics. Themes found in Chinese mythology are found throughout, with heavily patterned fabrics reminiscent of the elaborate fabrics and wardrobes found during the dynasties.
For the FW21 presentation, “DYNASTY” was shown in a space divided up into different buildings. Guests were be able to walk around and watch the different environments, seeing the models interact.
