CLXTO returns to the digital catwalks with a collection entirely built together with transgender artists, designers, seamstresses, artisans and models. It brings to the main scene people who, through their work and their daily struggles, make an existence beyond the binary and conservative grids possible. Eduardo Calixto‘s brand delves deeply into a new way of thinking and producing fashion, seeking to position itself according to what it believes to be its role in contemporaneity: to give prominence to everyone who made it and makes it possible, but who could not have their proper prominent roles, historically, because of social structure and equalities.

CLXTO, used to sell its products to order exclusively, this new season launches its digital platform and its e-shop, shipping worldwide. However, it is important to remind the brand’s enthusiasts that the some pieces will be limited and custom made, and the production, even open to the public, will have a reduced range of products.

“Our main objective is to provide a shopping experience that allows all bodies to use our creations”, explains Eduardo.

The made-to-order production proposed by the brand a few seasons ago remains an alternative to profit at any cost and depletion of resources. A conscious and more sustainable solution for an environmental impact caused by current consumption models.

Thus, it breaks with the format of a large-scale production lines, redefining any textile surplus and mitigating the environmental impact.

By questioning the disposability of things and bringing a circular awareness to production, the parts gain more durability, a high level of quality and an extended warranty.
