Re-inventing an icon – new on the block British jewelry brand Olivia & Pearl offers contemporary pearl jewelry designed for a new generation. Focusing on entwining the contemporary with the classic, founder Olivia Smith designs modern pieces, intended to celebrate the individualism, beauty, and power of the women who wear them.
Breaking into an industry where sustainability is paramount to a brand’s success and longevity, above anything else founder Smith wants to build a business that does what is right, not what is easy.
Working only with freshwater pearls, these are never taken from ocean beds, meaning no disruption to the earth’s biodiversity. High-quality pearls require an unspoiled marine environment to thrive within, hence Smith’s aspiration to make strides in protecting and sustaining the local ecosystems (pearl farms) that produce the pearls.

Above all, the founder of the jewellery label chooses to work with smaller suppliers across the UK, Asia, Italy and India and produce in small quantities, putting quality over quantity and avoiding overproduction.
With the overarching goal of going carbon neutral by 2022, Olivia & Pearl plans to invest further in innovation around ethical and environmental initiatives and embodying the leading light in sustainable jewellery.
Olivia & Pearl offers pieces across the necklace, bracelet, rings and earrings categories in gold and rose gold vermeil, white and yellow gold plated and sterling silver, all of which include sustainably sourced freshwater pearls.
