Naples Unveiled. Napoli fashion on the road presents a new concept, with a reportage with a veil as protagonist, numerical symbolism and gastronomy.

Napoli Svelata (Naples Unveiled). Napoli fashion on the road presents a new concept. A reportage dedicated to the mysticism of the veil, the historical re-enactment of numerical symbolism and gastronomy, in the vibrant Via dei Tribunali; fundamental artery of the historic center of Naples. The young model presented herself in an almost biblical outfit, composed of a long cobalt blue drapery and a white veil, illuminating with her beauty the frenetic bustle of passers-by.

The word “veil” comes from the Latin “velum”, with the same meaning. The custom of covering one’s head with an extremely ancient veil whose presence has been documented for over 3000 years in the Mesopotamian area.

The veil is protection, it is purity, a symbol of mystery and candor, but also a symbol of “revelation” connected to the innumerable beauties that, still, hides the wonderful city of Naples. Revelation also of the numerous young and talented gastronomy activities. This is the case of Pizzeria del Portico, a young company located in Via dei Tribunali in Naples.

The model tasted a pizza specially created by the talented and adrenaline pizza maker Mario Azzurro. Taste is the sense par excellence that lives on the unexpected and the unpredictable. The young and talented pizza maker said – Naples is not just big names. There are also small realities that the Neapolitan pizza can do well. And we are from these. We reveal ourselves with great humility and immense enthusiasm to the citizens of Naples and the many tourists who have been repopulating our city for a few years “. Mario has “revealed”, therefore, a colourful pizza as well as finely decorated, consisting of tasty traditional ingredients, including buffalo mozzarella, ham and rocket salad, as well as parmesan flakes, porcini mushrooms cream and yellow tomatoes.

A tasty, multi-colored but also highly symbolic fresco for the new Napoli Svelata, (Naples Unveiled), concept of Napoli fashion on the road. In fact the yellow tomatoes have composed the number 11. The 11 governs the intelligence of man, the guide; it is considered the number par excellence of creatives. The number 11 constitutes, in this particular case, a tribute to the intellectuals of the Accademia Pontaniana (Pontanian Academy of Naples) , the oldest in Italy, founded in 1443. A great symbol of Humanism, the Academy was initially called Porticus Antonianus. It is important to underline that the meetings of the philosophers who constituted it, including Jacopo Sannazaro, were held under the arcades of Via dei Tribunali, 339; therefore a few steps from the Pizzeria del Portico which is located in Via dei Tribunali, 354.

The “Naples Unveiled”, wants to celebrate the great Neapolitan genius, in the name of historical re-enactment. Numerous passers-by were also involved in the iconic Neapolitan fashion street master iPhotox in the iconic shots. The veil is protection, and it is in the name of this symbolism that Claudia, the very young and beautiful photomodel, welcomed under her veil, common people, tourists and onlookers who lent themselves with curious attention to the very special photographic poses. Especially in the area in front of the seventeenth-century Church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio, in Via dei Tribunali.

The artistic director of Napoli fashion on the road, Cristiano Luchini, a territorial marketing project, close to the fourth year of activity, said in a note – “I believe that with the realization of the” Naples Unveiled “concept, the whole team of the company Curtis & Moore Italia, managed to take a further step forward in terms of innovation in the Naples fashion on the road project, an increasingly experimental and multi-faceted initiative”.

The director Cristiano Luchini continues – “Through symbolism, numbers and gastronomy this time we have proposed to tell typically Neapolitan ingenuity and creativity, creating a particular trait d’union between the Pontaniana Academy of Naples Aragonese, and a young and talented pizza maker. our times: Mario Azzurro of Pizzeria del Portico, a small but valiant reality, located a few meters from the Porticus Antonianus and the Church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio, and which is opposed to the overwhelming power of the great names of the historic center.”

Finally, Luchini concludes – “Therefore, the symbolic” unveiling “, a distinctive element of today’s initiative and of the Naples we love. A liquid city, impermanent, in constant flux and that for this very reason escapes a linear consideration.  That’s why we used on the model, in some poses. A mysterious ymbol that closes this stage but that opens new scenarios for the immediate future  “
