Guido Maria Kretschmer started his career in fashion design at the age of 9, when he received his first sewing machine.
From an early age, Kretschmer knew that his passion for design and fabrics would determine his future life. In 1989, Kretschmer founded his company and fashion label GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER CORPORATE FASHION with headquarters in Münster (Germany) and Palma de Mallorca (Spain). In 2004, Kretschmer fulfilled his lifelong dream of having his own Haute Couture line GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER COUTURE.
Within a short amount of time, Kretschmer became one of the most successful designers in Germany with the press starting to call him “the German Valentino”. His work as a fashion designer is unique, exciting and confidently stylish. His versatility is reflected in both of his lines: For his Premium Collection GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER BERLIN, he designs high quality cocktail dresses and glamorous evening gowns.
