And here we are, It is that time of the year when the fashion industry descends on fashion capitals of the world from London to New Yoke and Milan to Paris. However, the Maltese were back on form to show once again that they are not to be over looked. The organizers of Malta Fashion Week and Awards succeeded in creating a stage where designers from in and outside the island nation can prove just how talented and ready they are to come and take crowns. Designers stepped up their game this season, putting Veletta, the event location in the spotlight and giving other fashion capital a run for their money.
It was a celebration of creators, especially women, displaying fierce girl power proving that if there is anybody who deserves to earn a chair in the fashion table of the world elite is them. Many designers shared a common vision and pulled inspiration from the architectural beauty of Malta. Incorporating the femininity of colourful fabric with the edge of sexiness mixed with elegance.
It was my first visit to the island nation and it was a sight to behold, the sights on sounds of this diminutive 314 sq km paradise are still fresh in my mind with over 6,000 years of history one can understand why designers in the country are so talented and ready to take the world by storm because there is abundance inspiration everywhere you turn.
Valletta- Malta. This story will be half baked without me talking about my experience in this artistic and historical treasure of a city called Valletta. The capital city is having a moment. Filled with palazzos and churches, the storybook city celebrates its 450th birthday almost two years ago and in this year 2018 will be a European Capital of Culture. This was this amazing city that Malta Fashion Week was held.

Jason Grech from Australia is among the brands that lit up the show his distintive designs and meticulously put together collection was pleasing to behold.
Jason Grech is one of the most highly recognised and awarded names in Australian couture fashion today. From beautiful brides to best-dressed celebrities, each JASONGRECH gown is meticulously created by hand to the impeccable standard.
Jason is the world’s first fashion designer to partner with IBM for their Cognitive Couture collaboration and was the inaugural inductee to the Kangan Batman Fashion Hall of Fame where he is an alumnus.
