Lightness, freshness, fantasy and determination: these are the distinctive traits of the 2017 Spring Summer collection of clothing by Paoloni.
The revised elegance has been become the distinctive mark of the brand, which designs a collection more and more versatile and multidimensional, inspired to the colours, the liveliness and the elegance of the French Riviera, the Côte d’Azur. The chromatic hues that from the pastel shades and dusty texture typical of the Provence light up towards more shiny nuances recalling the colours of the palaces of Nice must be inferred this way.
The jacket re-confirms itself as a cult item of clothing also for this season, where the macro weave drafts and the most compact fabrics are well matched to emptied items of clothing. The undisputable protagonist is the “Light Jacket“ that becomes more and more definite, as almost to replace the traditional “lightness” of the shirt, creating this way an unprecedented game of opposites.
The variety of the fabrics ranges in an important way in order to offer different comfort and wearability, to confirm Paoloni as the specialist of an elegance that is never boring. Materials like linen and cotton, jute and cotton are matched to create a game of lights. Textures and drawings with a tri-dimensional effect, ton sur ton or decisively in contrast, enhance the weaves and the comfort of the cottons, where we also find the evergreen check and stripe, while the “chambray” represents an independent line realised on jackets and trousers, both “garment dyed” and in the comfortable “knit” effect made of jersey.
The pastel colours nuances with a dusty effect introduce us to a Provencal mood and permeate this collection next to the blue and the white, ecru and ice grey. The palette colour cards is enlivened of the holiday energy to give way to light blue, turquoise and “orangish” red: from vermillion to cinnabar.
For the suits as well as for the jackets, the fits are re-confirmed as tight and charming, but the length of the jackets become more evident to state a timeless elegance. The textures are exalted both by the chromatic contrast games and the ton su ton, and micro-patterns for innovative effects that are always nice are added to the sobriety of the checks and the jacquards. If on one side the jacket offers a chameleonic palette colour cards, the suits match the traditional colours: open and dark blue, light grey and ice on fabrics like wool and mohair, 150’s canvas, wools and “comfort” cottons.
