Julian Zigerli’s AW17 collection represents the guilty pleasures of the heart – what we all desire, but would never admit. Emphasising on everything in the familiar setting the humble house-cat calls home, the pieces showcase a warm, comforting core, teamed with an edge of narcissism and egoism for good measure.

A key aspect of the collection is a series of prints created in collaboration with the Zürich based graphic trio, MOIRÉ. These include tartans made with domestic copy machines, graffitied brick walls reformed into an original camouflage and a graphically manipulated leopard print complete with a hidden face – another nod to the cat.

Set in an apartment, 16 models played and hang around in the space, completely embodying the domestic nature of the collection. They could be in the bath tub, on the couch ordering pizza, playing card games lying on the floor or watching Disney movies in bed – completely relaxed and submitting to their guilty pleasures.
