When in the beginning of everything there was just a desert, an African heat and an absolute pure natural beauty the time has started its count down. Therefore the Fashion House of Valentino has decided to make a return to the beginning of time in order to create a change in perspective. The journey starts in Rome where Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri have left us after Haute Couture and then ends up in a Tribal and wild Africa. This journey is not only aesthetically  styled but is mainly introspective and spiritual. The collection therefore expresses the totemic and primordial grace. The cut is elegant yet simple, the most important is a detail awareness: long tunics are held at the neck by necklaces and ornaments, the leather details seem to be a second skin, the jersey touch is purely ornamental and is embellished by a long naked back. There are wood and metal ornaments repeated at bags, belts and long dresses. A special collaboration with the artist Alessandro Gaggio has led to the creation of the collection’s jewelry: ivory, ebony, black! Just like Africa itself. Why Africa? The designers firmly believe that it’s a contemporary return, a reflection of the modern art, a permanent search of the authentic values and a vibrant idea of hand made approach as an antidote to the digital era. We say, it was the most spectacular, emotionally charged show. Special thanks to a beautiful sound, making us feel in a movie!!
